Ewenity Dairy Co-operative was founded in 2001 by a small group of sheep milk producers working to provide a sustainable market for their members milk.
Over the past seven years, the business has evolved. The rich yogourt and creamy fresh cheeses are balanced by the firmer cheeses available, all made locally in Fergus, Ontario.
Elisabeth is the cheese maker and together with her husband Eric, the Bzikot’s balance caring for their flock, developing new products and expanding the sheep dairy market. Their son and daughter-in-law, Peter and Nicole, handle product distribution through farmer’s markets, retail stores, restaurants and special events.
Now available at The Cheese Gallery - fresh ricotta, sheep brie, Mouton Rouge, feta. My favourite, Sheep in the Meadow, a small brie like round rolled in Herbs de Provence!
